Ever wonder why you feel so hungry all the time? You might just be thirsty! 



Hunger and thirst trigger the same type of signal to your brain and we often get tricked into thinking we are hungry when we’re not. Don’t be fooled! Regularly eating foods with a high water content will help your body retain hydration and you'll feel hungry less frequently. 


So the next time hunger strikes, snack on these hydrating foods instead:

Grapefruit Watermelon Cauliflower Celery Cucumber Radish
Serving Size 1 small 1 slice 1 cup 1 cup 1 cucumber 1 large
Water Content 1/2 cup 1/2 cup 1/4 cup 1/2 cup 1/4 cup 1/4 cup

Whipped Ricotta with Grapefruit & Watermelon

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

1 cup ricotta, drained

1 Tablespoon honey

1 Tablespoon lemon zest

2 Tablespoons watermelon, cubed 

3-4 grapefruit slices, chopped

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

Whip ricotta, honey, and zest together in a food processor until smooth. Refregierate until use. Top with fruit when serving. 



Creamy Cool Avocado Dip 

INGREDIENTS:

 

1 ripe avocado

¼ cup sour cream

2 Tablespoons fresh parsley (can substitute cilantro or basil)

Juice of 1 lime

Dash salt


DIRECTIONS:

 

Combine ingredients in food processor until combined. Use as a dip for cauliflower, cucumber, radish, and celery.
